Okay, there are a lot of people out in the blogosphere/podosphere who are speculating that we won't see Leopard before the Worldwide Developers Conference in June. They say that it would coincide well and that Apple can take advantage of all the hype surrounding WWDC to get good sales after the Steve leaves the stage announcing that "It's available today."
But I feel much differently than these pundits. My belief is that we will see Leopard released before that time. I'm not going to give a date because that is just plain stupid on the part of anyone that doesn't know. And I happen to not know. But I do know what Steve told us during his Keynote at WWDC last August. He said "Spring 2007." Today is March 24. Three days into Spring 2007. But the summer starts on June 21. I know, WWDC is on June 11. But think about it. WWDC is a place for developers to come and ask questions about the operating system and get help with software development problems from the people who created the operating system. Apple is going to want to, or should want to, give the developers a little more time with the finished product before they come to WWDC. Otherwise, if they get the new operating system while they are their, there'll be no reason for any of them to go to the help workshops. They won't have had a chance to play with the new release before the conference.
Anyway, that's my two-cents about the Leopard release time-frame. Now, I'll be the first to admit that Apple doesn't always hit launch dates. The Apple TV was delayed for whatever reason. And it's possible that they'll release the new OS after or at WWDC in June. But my gut, and my desire, tell me that we'll see 10.5 sooner rather than later.

A Return to Blogging
Allright, I'm definitely back now. I've been inspired by those that I read and listen to everyday to be more consistent in my blogging. Far be it for me to say that those in the tech industry are wrong....haha. Well, at least those pundits that I listen to are most always correct about things.
I'm usually am excited to talk about new technologies that are coming out, but it almost seems like when I write on a blog, it doesn't matter because no one is really listening. But I'm going to change that. My mindset has been to find a hook that will attract people and then I'll put up quality content. But I've changed. I've realized that you have to first put up quality content, and then people will come.
So here it is, my blog. Dedicated to the proposition that I write about what I'm thinking about the current tech news and products, and that people who know me or are interested will come and listen. Or not. Either way, I'm going to write.

Checking In
Just checking in. The semester is going a little crazy at this point. I've got a million things going on all at once. U-Sing is making me crazy, but since auditions were today, it's gonna be a little better for a short while. Classes aren't too crazy, but I've got a test on Tuesday and a mid-term on Thursday. The nice thing about the mid-term is that it's open book/note, but it's my Film Video class, and I have to watch two movies between now and Thursday that I can only watch at the video library between 9am and 5pm, so needless to say, I'm a little stressed. Other than that, we're starting Homecoming stuff on Tuesday night. We have tryouts for the pep rally dance at 8pm and we actually have to try out this year because we are only allowed to have 15 guys from BYX in the dance.
On other fronts, shooting for Icon is still fun this season. I had a crappy game for the Middle Tennessee game and I didn't actually get any photos worth sending. But I have two weeks off. This past weekend, OU was on a bye weekend and this coming weekend is OU/TX and I'll be watching the game as a senior should, from the stands cheering my Sooners on to victory. OU has yet to lose to Texas when I'm in attendance, so I'm hoping that I'll bring them good luck this year.
Other than shooting football, I've been kinda lax on shooting other stuff. I haven't had a chance to shoot anymore concerts. But I've been gettin the bug to go out and shoot some more when I get the chance. I want to find some people that will be models for me so I can work on portaits and lighting and stuff. I'm hoping that sometime soon I'll be able to head out with my friend Laura and get some stuff that she could use for her album stuff. (Hopefully, I'll still get to design her album stuff for her, but that's secondary.)
Anyway, that's it for now. Peace out.

YEAH!!!!
I'm officially back in the internet. I'm writing this from my own computer at home!!!! Yeah!!! Sorry for the excitement, it's just that having internet at home is awesome now. For someone who basically lives online, three weeks away has been crazy. I've been going through withdrawls. The only fixes I could get were from work. But those were to far between (meaning like more than 2 hours away from the internet :-p ). But for those who are interested, I will be releasing Episode #6 of The WeekendCast this Saturday. It has been three weeks since episode #5, so it will be a good one. Check it out at www.theweekendcast.com

Introducing.....
I plan on using this blog to talk about whatever comes to mind about whatever is going on in the world. Be it tech stuff (I'm a huge Apple fan), life stuff, God stuff or whatever, it'll be here. I'm pretty sure that I'm post quite a few pictures up here from my Flickr page as I take new ones and begin to decide if that's what I want to do for life.
